Paul has been practicing dentistry since he qualified in 2000 and has developed expertise in the fields of restorative, surgical and implant dentistry.


Since he left Bristol as a prize-winner he has spent much time gaining experience and furthering his skills in complex treatment of patients, both in hospital and dental practice.

Born and educated in the Westcountry, Paul now enjoys living and working full-time in Cornwall. He has had a long association with Waterside Dentalcare and has had a valuable role in the development of the practice before becoming the Principal Dentist in 2011. Paul continually strives to combine his special skills with a devotion to compassionate dental care.

Paul graduated from the University of Bristol Dental School in 2000 and spent time in practice before joining the Oral and Facial Surgery team at Royal Cornwall Hospital. Paul has many years experience in private practice and has taken a Masters Degree in Implant Dentistry at the internationally renowned UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London which he passed with Distinction.

Paul enjoys his teaching, speaking nationally on restorative and implant dentistry.  He  delivers workshops and lectures for dentist on post-graduate courses as well as undergraduate students at Peninsula Dental School.

He is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), which provides sound evidence-based guidelines and education to dentists on all topics related to implant dentistry.  He is a also the Director of the Cornwall ITI Study Club, an ITI Registered Speaker and a committee member of the Young ITI which provides specific training to dentists in their first 5 years of providing care using dental implants.

Paul is a committee member for the Cornwall Dental Practitioner Group, which delivers dental education to dentists and dental health professionals in the region. He takes referrals for advanced restorative and implant dentistry as well as surgical dentistry and periodontal care. He is also happy to give advice on treatment planning.

Paul has operating privileges at the Duchy Hospital, Truro, which means he can treat patients under a general anaesthetic should they require it.
