We are delighted to welcome Laura back to Waterside following her maternity leave, and we are also very happy to let you know that
Tracey-Anne is now a permanent member of the team.
On Friday March 11th the whole team will be attending a Cornwall IDP course to keep us up to date with Infection Control and the Use of Antiobiotics in Dentistry.
Let’s Get Sugar Smart!
We’re all having too much sugar, and children especially are consuming, on average, more than three times the recommended daily amount. Sugar is often lurking in food and drink and the biggest source (around 30%) of the sugar in childrens’ diets comes from sugary drinks like squash, juice and fizzy drinks. One can of cola contains 9 cubes of sugar – more than anyone should have in a day! Visit the Change4Life website for lots more information and advice, and download the Sugar Smart App which allows you to scan everyday products to find out how much sugar they contain.
We are very happy to report that three more of our Waterside Babies have arrived safely! Sharon and Mark had a beautiful baby girl named Ella Rose at the end of June, and gorgeous baby Theo was safely delivered to Paul and Clare at the beginning of July; mums and babies all doing well!
Hannah and Tom’s second child, super-cute baby Freya has recently arrived safe and well and we wish them all the very best.
We also look forward to welcoming Natalie Dunn and Emma Gillies who will be helping us out whilst Hannah takes her maternity leave.
Paul would like to thank his patients who have sent such lovely messages wishing his new family well.
Many of our patients will be aware that Laura is expecting her first baby at the end of February and she will begin her maternity leave shortly. We wish her and Matt all the very best as they start their exciting new adventure as a family and we can’t wait to meet the new arrival!
Tamsin, who some of you will know as she’s worked with us before, will be joining us whilst Laura is away and we look forward to welcoming her to the Waterside Team.
It is with much sadness that we say farewell to Martin who retires at the end of the year. Martin had the foresight and drive to open this groundbreaking dental practice in 2000 with an emphasis on care and excellence, values we still hold today some 14 years later.
We wish him and his wife Sally who was an instrumental force in the design and ethos of Waterside Dentalcare, a very happy, fulfilling, healthy and long retirement together.
Well done to Emma, one of our superb dental care nurses here at Waterside Dentalcare. Emma has recently passed her certificate in oral health education. She has sat oral and written exams and has compiled case presentations to prove that she really knows what she’s talking about when it comes to preventing oral disease.
Emma will be spending time with our patients, giving them individual help and preventative advice on how to improve on their home care as well as diet analysis to try to prevent further problems occurring in the future.
Well done again Emma, with all your hard work you really deserved this extra qualification.
Welcome to the new Waterside Dentalcare website. We hope you enjoy browsing our site which is full of helpful hints and information about looking after your oral health and what services we offer. If you have any suggestions for other content that you would like to see please get in touch.
